Christmas 2009

Remember the old time

Joyce Loh wrote:Do you feel Christmas is coming? Have you bought your gifts for family members, colleagues or friends? Have you decorated your office or home yet?

Well, I never really felt the Christmas mood in Kuching. So I decided to take the initiative and time to take some photos in different shopping malls and hotels. I certainly hope after you look through the photos, you will catch the Christmas spirit.

The real meaning of Christmas is more than the gifts, trees, cakes and parties. We celebrate the birth of Jesus on Christmas. Remember the new hope, love, peace, joy and good health in our life. Remember to build good relationship with spouse, children, parents, colleagues, relatives and anyone whom we met.

May Year 2010 be a prospering and good blessing to your life, health, family , career and earn lots of money $$$$.

If you have better Christmas experience in you city, town or kampong. Do post on this blog and share with us.

Adroit Global wish you Merry Christmas and Happy 2010

Our Talks & Programmes

Tue Oct 13, 2009 2:11 am by Chin Ann

Our Talks & Programmes

Health Talk
Looking back for all the new events and activities we did for the last few months, it was indeed very challenging and exciting. After the Women Conference – Empowering women in the corporate world which was held in 4 and 5May 2009. Immediately after the women conference, we conducted a women health talk for a group of young secretaries from the government agency in West Malaysia at Merdeka Palace Hotel, Kuching. They found this talk extremely helpful and informative. The person in charge said to us all the government offices must have the opportunity to listen to this type of health. It is encouraging to know women are looking after their health, besides their families.

Parenting Talk
We conducted 3 parenting talks for the parents in Kuching during the month of June, July and August 2009at MBKS Hall , Kuching. Parents were grateful to be able to come and listen to these parenting talks. Hundreds of parents have benefited from the parenting talks. The topics we shared :-

1) How to talk so your kids will listen
2) How to help your child to overcome exam fears and failures
3) Minding your child without losing your mind

With the support from the Pengarah of Biro Wanita Puan Norjanah ,under the Ministry of Social Development and Urbanisation , Sarawak. All the talks were done well and many parents were asking when will the next parenting talk will be. We also received full support from different NGO groups and organization.

Corporate Talk
In July 2009, we organized a morning talk at Four Points by Sheraton, Kuching on “ Visionary Leadership” for the Malaysia Federal and State leaders from the ministries, departments, agencies, schools, teacher training colleges, technical colleges, resident offices and other statutory bodies. The talk was well received by various leaders from different government bodies.

1-Day Workshop
Ever since June 2009, we launched our 1-Day workshop at Four Points by Sheraton, Kuching. The 1st Workshop was “ The Culture of Excellence”. The result was beyond our expectation, many participants were from the government bodies. This topic is indeed in line with our 1 Malaysia concept .

Our Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak said that to transform and take Malaysia to greater heights of success and achievement, the one overarching value that will ensure that Malaysia is on the right path is to make sure that its people are instilled with the Culture of Excellence. Because if Malaysians have a set of values which would indicate that we have the Culture of Excellence, then everything else will flow and emanate from having this Culture of Excellence.

Datuk Seri Najib said it well, "Excellence does not come in dreams or exist in a vacuum, but is the result of hard work with a clear focus on principles, by having the right attitude and holding on to good moral values.”

All Malaysian let move on with the spirit and attitude and build Malaysia as a country of Excellence.

So far over the last few months, we have conducted 1-Day Workshops:-

1) Habits of highly successful people
2) The power of transforming leadership
3) Releasing the Leader in YOU – Be a great communicator

The overwhelming response from the government bodies and private corporates has challenged us to launch more of these workshops in the coming year. It is our desire for everyone to have the opportunity to learn and discover their potential. So good news for all… if you have not been to one of our workshops. Do not miss the next workshop – “Developing leadership in YOU – Time out! Staying sane in the stressful world” – 6 November 2009.

By the way, some of the participants have repeatedly been coming back for our workshops

Public Programme and In House Programme
Our 2-Day public programme of “ Staff Coaching and Mentoring” in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah was a successful event. We will come back to do the same programme in year 2010, both in Kuching and Kota Kinabalu. We have done a few in house training programme for a few clients. We were very happy to have a new client in Sibu asking us to train their nurses’ trainers. They were really very participative and attentive. To see them starting to learn how to do presentation is very touching.
